Beauty — Tianren

Beauty

What is inside you that is so fatal,

Wherefore kings fall, and Dorian dies?

Yet the charm you cast was so vital,

To make people spry, and more curious.

In search of your marks, they slyly lie,

To themselves, that you are ephemeral.

They laud you grandly, and back you sigh.

Lovely Ariel, your existence is atemporal.

You play the pranks that pull people in,

Witty frolics that bond them together,

To seek you, but you vanish in a grin,

Of joy, of utter romance, and of wonder.

So long as people persist in searching,

You will be carrying on your being.
